James Morrison began his musical journey performing in pubs and streets across the UK. This polished his soulful style and helped him gain industry attention.
While performing in an open mic at Ryan’s Bar & Scream, he met Kevin Andrews, who produced Morrison’s first demo tape and co-wrote the song “One Last Chance”.
Later, he was signed with Polydor Records and released his debut album Undiscovered, which topped the UK Albums Chart.
In a short span of time, he became a distinctive new voice in British pop-soul and also earned the BRIT Award for Best British Male Solo Artist.
In 2008, he released his second album, Songs for You, Truths for Me, which featured a duet with Nelly Furtado titled “Broken Strings,” co-written with Fraser T Smith and Nina Woodford.
