He began playing football for the young group of Turkgucu Velbert and afterward played for the young group of SSVg Velbert, TVD Velbert, and Rot-Weiss Essen. Later on, in 1996, he joined the young group of Bayern Leverkusen II and started his vocation at the club.
From 1996 to 2005, he accomplished 7 association matches for Bayern 04 Leverkusen, however just as a substitute.
