Lisa Kudrow joined her father in his work after completing her education but comedian Jon Lovitz encouraged her to try acting. She joined the famous Los Angeles improv comedy group, ‘The Groundlings’, and eventually got an opportunity to perform with other improv groups as well.
In three episodes of the popular sitcom ‘Bob’, she appeared as ‘Kathy Fleisher’. When she was cast as ‘Phoebe’ in ‘Friends’, Lisa received her big breakthrough in 1994. Her role in ‘Friends’ made her a household name in the United States. She acted in multiple movies during the late-1990s and her popularity as a television star also continued to rise.
